Manufacturing Setup

What the Shop Floor Can Do

We work across two units totalling 39,000 sq. ft. Unit I, 14,000 sq. ft., has been expanding steadily over the past decade. Unit II adds a further 25,000 sq. ft., equipped with the latest machines and now in production. It sits close to the original works, so both share the same locational advantages.

14,000 ft2 Unit I + 25,000 ft2 Unit II = 39,000 ft2 in production

The technical background of our promoters helps us understand customer requirements. At times we have effected considerable savings for our customers through our suggestions, and we work with clients from the concept stage to prototyping and production.

Material Straight from the Mill

Products are manufactured using pre-tested raw materials that conform to the highest industrial standards. We source most of our raw material directly from the mill.

Any Thread, Any Size

We specialise in precision machining to customer specification, and we can machine any type and size of thread.

Alloys in Working Memory

We have worked with SS316/SS316L, SS304/SS304L, SS310, SS410, SS321, SS347, Brass, CS, EN8, EN19, EN20, F11, F22, Monel, Cupronickel, Hastelloy C, Titanium and Inconel, and can supply components in them.

Machines Employed

Our workshop runs modern and conventional machines side by side. That mix is what gives us the capability to carry out a wide variety of jobs in-house.

  • Vertical Machining Centres (VMC)Milled faces, slots and cross holes
  • Conventional LathesShort runs and rework without programming
  • Milling MachinesManual milling for one-offs and fixtures
  • Tapping MachinesThreaded holes to size, repeatably
  • CNC Metal-cutting Bandsaw MachinesSquare, accurate blanks off the bar
  • TIG Welding MachinesFabricated wells and closed assemblies
  • Laser Welding Machine (Proposed)Planned, for fine seam work
  • Laser Marking MachinesPermanent part numbers and logos
  • CNC Dot-pin Marking MachinesDeep-stamped identification

Quality Assurance

Inspection runs through the job, not just at the end of it.

  • We inspect at every stage so our customers get high quality products.
  • All parts are checked 100% before dispatch using the latest inspection equipment.
  • Chemical and physical testing of raw material is done by an approved agency.

Out-sourced Capabilities

In addition to our in-house capabilities, we out-source a variety of jobs according to our customers' requirements.

  • Bright AnnealingStress relief in a controlled atmosphere, so the part comes out soft and still bright.
  • Vacuum AnnealingThe same heat cycle under vacuum, for alloys that will not tolerate any oxidation.
  • Electro-less Nickel PlatingA nickel layer deposited chemically, so bores and threads coat as evenly as flats.
  • Electro-PolishingMetal taken off electrochemically to leave a smooth, passive surface.
  • Zinc PlatingA sacrificial zinc layer for carbon steel parts that will see weather.
  • AnodizingA grown oxide layer on aluminium, for hardness and for colour.
  • Powder CoatingDry powder sprayed and baked, for enclosures and brackets that need a finish.
  • Die-MoldingMoulded parts to a die, where a component is not turned or milled.
  • Investment CastingCast blanks for shapes that would waste bar stock if they were machined solid.
  • Die-ForgingForged blanks where the job needs grain flow rather than a cut profile.
  • PMI (Positive Material Identification)Alloy confirmed on the part itself, when the certificate alone is not enough.
  • RadiographyWelds and castings looked through, for porosity and inclusions.
